Is WIN7 Helping you with "issues"?

My PC, since installing WIN7 Pro, crashes every day, usually overnight; I awake to a "you've suffered a problem and we're checking on a solution..." message. I have never gotten ANY help, and I did allow MS to transmit data to wherever it is it goes. Has anyone ever heard back from this seemingly useless message? Personally, I would prefer it told me what happened and made clear where a log of these crashes/errors can be accessed. I know I can turn on various logs in the system, but I don't feel qualified to interpret Windows' sometimes esoteric information.

No problems with 7 so far.

Since I upgraded to 7, I haven't had any issues, it's been running smooth. Can you do anything on your PC when you see this message? Is the system froze? What symptoms accompany the error message?

No, it's not helping with my "issues",

I still have trouble with stopping and starting, weak and inconsistent flow, frequent urges, feeling like I'm not done going.

Before it transmits the message,

there's an option for more information. I don't have a open error at the moment so I can't give you the exact wording. Look for a button in the lower left of the windows; Advanced, or More, or something like that. It will show you what is being sent.

I've had occasional luck with this, usually when the problem is caused by a driver. There's no sense in sending more than once; if you don't get a useful reply popping up in an IE window, you'll never get one.

Yes, I heard back from them once

It came up saying my CPU was not getting enough power because the firmware on my motherboard was out of date, causing crashes.

I had taken that machine in for warranty 30 times, and to 5 different shops, no one could figure it out till I installed Windows XP and in the first few days, got that message.

That's the first and only instance of a reply I've heard - thanks, that gives me hope that someday they'll tell me why the system crashes so much.

Crashes - there are crashes and there are crashes.

I have just fixed my laptop - cooling problems, which were due to a plug of felt in the heat exchanger which should keep the cpu and graphics display chip cool.
The Symptoms: No warning - just a sudden shutdown. More and more frequently.
I knew it was going to happen - I have pets, whose hair is second only to nitrogen in the atmosphere in my house.
Before I took the back off my laptop and then the fan housing, I checked the price of laptop coolers on Amazon!
