ISA 2004 configuration issues

by toreador . Updated 21 years, 2 months ago

Hi all, I have an issue I could use some assistance with. I am in the process of testing an ISA 2004 server and it is not acting as expected and some google searches have come up empty.

The server has 2 nic?s, one internal and one in the DMZ. I created a rule to allow internal to internal traffic and a rule for the Internet. I installed the firewall client on the test PC?s. For the most part it is working ok but it has some quirks. If I visit a webpage that has a lot of thumbnails, approximately half of the thumbs load and the other half are red x?s. If I hit refresh some of the x?s will show the thumbs and some of the thumbs will become red x?s. If I continue hitting F5 eventually I might get all of the thumbs to show. Also, sometimes when I go to a site like google to do a search ISA will display ?the page cannot be displayed? and ?Error code: 403 Forbidden. The ISA server denied the specified Uniform Resource locator (URL). (12202)?, if I hit refresh the page will load. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why this is happening. It is also happening to some of our internal pages which I assume should be bypassing the Proxy. If I switch back to the production ISA 2000 server I do not have this problem so I know it is some configuration of the 2004 server that I don?t have correct.

Has anyone else experienced this with an ISA 2004 server? How did you resolve it? Thanks!
