Need a little more info on your network setup like are you running W2K Server with Active Directory & Exchange Server? Do you run your own mail service or are clients accessing Yahoo or MSN or AOL to obtain email?

There is a tool in ISA Server for mail setup. It is a complete wizard which allows for you to specify the IP address of the Mail server. Once completed, it automates the filters for POP3 and SMTP. You can just set the filters to allow inbound & outbound, not just inbound or outbound.
