I am facing a peculiar problem with the ISA server. It denies the web proxy service after a specific interval of time. Once this happens the users are not able to access the internet.
When this happens I tried using thenslookup command. At this time it is not able to connect to the DNS server of the ISP. Its gives this error message :
Can’t find server name for address 202.177.128.34 : Timed out DNS request timed out.
But at this time I am able to ping to the DNS server only the nslookup command does not work . Also If I reboot the server I am able to browse. In a day this happens atleast 2 or 3 times. Without restarting the server this does not work.
The ISA server is installed in the integrated mode. Both the firewall and the web publishing are enabled. When the server is working fine I am able to connect to the DNS server using the nslookup command.
I have installed the Hotfix released by micorsoft security bulletin MS01-021. Also the service PAck 1 is installed in the server.
Please help in sorting out this issue.
