ISDN Modem USB or Serial

by TimTheToolMan In reply to ISDN Modem USB or Serial

Hi,

Well there is a theoretical limit of 115,200 bits per second available throughput on a COM port but ISDN can theoretically transfer 128,000 bits per second.

So theoretically USB (Which has a much higher bandwidth) is better.

In practice, however, it doesn't make a lot of difference as you'll never hit those limits.
Go with USB. Its generally better with plug and play if nothing else.

Cheers,
Tim.
