We have w2k network with NT 4 clients. On our w2k pdc server we have DNS running. I’m using Ip addressing scheme which is out of private class addresses (169…. & 192.168 series..)
On regular dialup on w2k member server I don’t face any problem.
On another w2k pc Ive installed ISDN including proxy…. So when I connect to internet using ISDN it connect smoothly. But don’t browse any site. But when I browse using site’s IP it works.
So to test I changed the IP of ISDN w2k pc to 169.. (private network address). Guess what it worked.
So tell me where the problem lies. keep in mind that I’ve used same Ip scheme on regular dialup on another w2k pc.
