On my central place I’ve the server configured like this:
Network card ‘WAN’ attached to a firewall, this firewall is connected to the internet (kabel connection).
Network card ‘LAN’ attached to the internal network. This internal network is a 3com OfficeConnect ISDN LAN modem with a internal HUB.
The defaultgateway is configured on the WAN card and points to the Firewall.
The LAN card and the ISDN LAN modem are in the same subnet.
I haven’t configured my LAN card with a default gateway, because I think this will conflict my internet gateway.
BUTH if I want my ISDN LAN modem to ‘auto dial’ I need to configure it as the default gateway.
Is there anybody that knows a solution for this?
