issue installing broadband modem

By leon.m ·
I am running windows 7 64 and I am having issues with my broadband modem, I can install everything ok, device manager has no issues, but when I attemp to connect I get a RASMAN entry creation/modification error. In the event logs I have remote access connection manager terminated with the following error. The system cannot find the device specified.
I am tring to use a Criket UM185C broadband modem. Any thoughts anyone

Install and run the upgrade advisor, if it works with 7 already installed. You can check at the modem vendor's site for updated drivers.

There are many devices that do not work with Windows 7

You should have checked with the 7 Upgrade Adviser available here

But you really need to check with the device Makers Web Site to see if they have a solution for this issue. The major Telco Here has issues like this with 7 and currently is not offering any support for it till they get new hardware that is 7 Compatible.
