Has your Windows 7 hung on startup after uninstalling "Telemetry" updates?

Has anyone else had issues attempting to uninstall Windows updates #3075249 and #3080149 (updates that add the "telemetry points" to consent.exe ). Everything I have read makes it sound like these are "optional" updates that are so easy to uninstall from Windows 7 if they are installed.
However, when we uninstalled them and restarted our system, the system got hung on the "Preparing to install updates" section for over 25 minutes. We turned off the computer, waited a few minutes, and turned it back on. It started back up and "installed our updates" with no apparent issues. Checking the Windows Update screen revealed that updates #3075249 and #3080149 had been uninstalled, and everything seems to be OK now.
I originally posted this when I thought that the updates did not uninstall, but further investigation showed that they had been removed. The question now is has anyone else seen this on Windows 7? Is it just a Home Premium thing, or are other versions of 7 (or 8 or 8.1 seeing this)?
