Just wondering if anyone can offer any
insight as to why IE5.5 freezes up after a
few minutes of operation. As in, push the
reset switch freezing.I had updated to
version 5.5 when the problem first came
about, and then applied the service pack for
IE 5.5 to see if that would fix it. No go.
Anyway, two systems P3-600, Duron 800, same
freezing. Searched technet extensively, and
ended up removing an ATI video card which MS
claims has an issue with IE.5.5. System is
currently Duron 800, gforce video, WD hard
drive, SBLIve sound, HP recorder. Win2k with
SP1, and all latest updates. For the record,
I now have had to revert to Netscape to surf
the net, and it has no problems at all. The
problem is solely with Explorer, as my
outlook express if fine. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
