First let me say thanks for the assistance and feedback on the hardware ID issue. It appears to be my obsolete parallel-port scanner that is the culprit.
Now, I have a new issue that I can’t get two seconds worth of satisfaction from the manufacturer on.
I have a SoundWave Pro pci sound card, and have DL the latest drivers from the SIIG web site. I am still getting garbled sound though. I have tried deleting the sound card all-together (from Device Manager) and re-installed when I re-booted. Still the same thing. Any suggestions?
