Issues with viewing a mail.

By ksvijayb ·
Hi,
Ms Outlook 2000 (Small Business Edition).
The contents of a mail that I was able to read using Auto-Preview pane, disappars from the mail when I double click on it to open & read it.

Can anybody kindly help me on this issue. This happens only for one mail alone in my inbox. All other mails are OK.

Thanks in Advance.
Vijayabaskar.

I don't know if I understand you proprerly. If this is only ONE email EVER that has done this, is that really an issue? I don't think there's a work around for such a problem.

An omportant theng to remember SHUT OFF THE AUTO PREVIEW PANE!!! If a virus gets through as soon as you delete the mail before it, the virus will automatically ne opened in the preview pane before you can delete it. That's a major security issue that can be easily fixed.

From the VIEW menu select LAYOUT and uncheck the Preview pane checkbox to shut this off.

Hi,
This became an issue because, this particular email is needed as a legal proof for one of our transaction. We are able to read the mail, but when we open it to print, the contents that we read are not present.

I have asked my users to shutoff the preview pane long before, but as you may be aware, there are some users who dont bother to follow what the IT dept says...

Regds.

I know that within Lotus Notes, there is an option when you go to send email, you can prevent copying, which actually prevents printing, forwarding, and replying to the email.

I hope this helps.

Hi,
Seems that that mail was from an user using Lotus Notes. I think that must be the reason.

Thanks.
