IT Career/Education Options

by ndeligio . Updated 14 years, 7 months ago

I am a college student about to finish my non computer related degree. I have since realized that I would like to work in the IT field specifically in the networking field. I’ve always been good with computers, networks, etc… so this isn’t just a spur of the moment decision. Unfortunately I only have time for about two more years of schooling. My question is would it be more beneficial to go to a community college and earn a two year Network Operations Technician degree or to stay at the University of Oregon and pursue a minor in CIT? By beneficial I am talking about job opportunities, potential for advancement, pay rate, etc…
