      Hey Valencia,
We use a whole bunch of services. Here’s our list, let me know what you think
      Autotask: ticketing
      Kaseya: desktop/server management
      MXAlerts: Email Server Monitoring
      Quest PacketTrap: Network Monitoring
      WUG: Internet Line Monitoring
Probably have some more but thats the main ones. Out of these the cheap and easy ones to setup are MXAlerts and WUG. Others are a little more expensive and require more time and dedication.

Depends on your operating systems, # of client systems, size fo IT staff.

Many of these capabilities are built into a Windows domain already. Some of the others can be done with as simple a tool as a project manager, or even a spreadsheet.

      Spiceworks is OK.

We use Spiceworks and have had a reasonable level of success. It isn’t the best for monitoring but it will do. It does have a ticketing system built in, and allows us to install on multiple client sites and take tickets from each site and keep track of hardware at each site.
