What kind of job I can get if I enroll for Networking with Windows NT/2000 course? What is the course all about? What is LAN? What is TCP/IP? and What is WIN 201 has to with this course? In this course, do they include some programming languages like HTML?

Hi, You ask many questions here, but if you took only one course, I doubt you'd feel comfortable with any win2000 product. You could go through the windows 2000 certification path and then you would be mcse certified and capable of running/administering a network. There are free courses on www.leapit.com or you may want to look at a community college or training center. A lan is a local area network (it can be small, two networked computers or quite large, multiple connected lans would be a wanor wide area network). TCP/IP is a suite of protocols for used for tansmitting and receiving data; the internet runs on tcp/ip for instance. This too is a complicated area and you can take classes solely in tcp/ip and you should be comfortable with other network protocols as well. Programming languages are not included in network classes; these are separate. You can take a class in html, or visual basic, java, javascript, etc. Microsoft offer a programming track. You can look on their website www.microsoft.com and

On microsft's website look under training and certification. I'd recommend you take a basic networking class to learn the terminology and set a feel for what is involved. There is also quite a bit of information about networking on cisco system's site : www.cisco.com, netgear: www.netgeat.com And there are lots of good, solid introductory books. I hope this helps.

If you have no prior expierence then you will basically be looking at a entry level position at a technical, help desk or computer technician.the Winnt2000 course is for expierence personnel that have prior expierence.LAN-Local Area Network-Aset up of less than 50 computers connected to share resources and communicate.TCP/IP-A network protocol that is standard for viewing the World Wide Web,WIN201 is on of the core exams.
No programming language is included in WIN2000 Certification Exam.
If you are new to Networking look at starting in a course like A+,and some basic computer courses to give you the basics of computer networking
