IT Jobs

By marissa.hornbuckle ·
Hi, I am writing a paper for class, and I was thinking about the economy and job situation.

Would you think that companies are trying to decrease the amount of specialists they have and hire people with knowledge in several areas? For example, instead of hiring a Database administrator and a network administrator, they would hire someone who can do both?

Thank you for your time.

work of dba and ntwk admin

by kavikurunji In reply to IT Jobs

dba work more than the ntwk admin becoz the amount of time they spend with data and their manipulation process is not equal with the ntwk admin so, dba and ntwk admin must be a specialist of another, not the same

As my UserName implies, I know quite a bit about almost everything Tech related but I've been out of work for 4 months because everyone I've talked to is looking for an expert in the one thing that they need.

no, marissa its not so.......

by subhashusms In reply to IT Jobs

it is not so , companies are looking for the expertise . if it is not so then it may happen that company will not be able to work upon its core competencies because of lack of expertise , so most of the companies try to hire the specialist
