Our current IT Mgr is “leaving” after 12+ years w/ company. I am to take over their responsibilities. Management has the foresight to hire an IT Consultant to assist in transition and be “on call” for 6 mos – 1 yr while I learn / train for new responsibilities. Question: I need to write a specification / scope of what we want the vendors to quote on – including emergency 24-7 availability, networking documentation, server, OS, etc. I have searched the TR site, and have come close but nothing definitive to help write an “IT Consultant Expectation” spec / list / contract.
