Do you think IT people IN GENERAL are paid fairly ?…for the stress…the required skills/knowledge…the effort/cost required to obtain the know-how…the value IT brings to the business…I used to, but not anymore.
My belief was strengthened after I looked at the most recent survey on searchdatabase.com. Sr DBA – $73K, Prjt Manager – $69K, Developer – $49K…either this survey is serious flawed or the $ is rediculous. I mean I know there are staff accountants, “finance analysts” — those whose only PC “skill” is limited to spreadsheets (and not very good at it) who make just slightly less or sometimes more that their IT peers.
IT people deserve more money.
