IT Policy for USB Gadgets

Does anyone currently have a policy that specificallly mentions or applies to the usage of usb gadgets (ie desk lamps, christmas lights/decorations, cup warmers etc)? Most people don't ask, but I have been asked by serveral users lately if they can bring these things in. Not sure if there is any danger from an IT standpoint in allowing this or not. I can understand where there may be some HR concerns or bldg maint (if someone leaves their cup warmer on etc..) What are your thoughts?
