SDLC in a Research/Education environment

by cedrick.moore In reply to I.T. Project Management i ...

All,

This is my first post. Nothing spectacular. Just brainstorming on ways to implement good I.T. Project Management in a research, educational environment. Generally in these types of environments there is little funding or resources (people included) to perform the whole SDLC (software development lifecycle) as it should be done. Also, unlike a corporate environment, revenue increases are not the key driver behind software projects. I will attempt various techniques from the templetes and articles available on TechRepublic.com. I will update this blog as I think of good, agile, lightweight software development methodologies for small to medium research environments.

Otherwise, I am very excited about the new release of ITunes 7, though. Seems like some great enhancements.
