What is IT Refreshment? Is there an official definition of IT Refreshment? Does IT refreshment include maintenance, modernization and replacement programs?

I have my opinion like this: I think IT Refreshment looks like when we feel tired we must refresh to feel well again, so IT Refreshment is similiar like that. Every component in IT must refresh, but the refreshment different from one component to another component like PC must be refresh (replace) with new one in 3 years, or IT people must do training in 4 times a year or something that your management will think the best for refreshment. That's my opinion , i hope it's will help, thanks

You're not going to find a standard definition unless you go to a dictionary.

In my experience, it would not include routine maintenance, but it would include modernization and replacement.

And, refreshment usually seems to happen as a formal program. For example, an IT shop would have a refreshment policy or program, where x% of the desktops in a company are refreshed annually.
