ITDebate: Datacenter outsourcer recovery

by itdebate . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

Gartner maintains that unless an enterprise explicitly defines its requirements for recovery, in contract, that outsourcers will make only minimal provision for the recovery of data centers in the event of an incident. Do you have a detailed description of disaster recovery requirements written into outsourced contracts? Have you ever experienced a disaster where your plan?or lack of it?has been put to the test? Do you know what would happen if a disaster struck? What would be your role?Do you agree with Gartner?s bottom line? You can read the related Gartner article, which will be posted 3:00 AM Wednesday, at https://www.techrepublic.com/article.jhtml?id=r00620001220ggp01.htm
