Jack, I dun agree with pt10.

I think there should always be a clear line drawn when time for family is time for family, whilst time for work is likewise. Whilst it is not uncommon to overlap once a while due to an emergency, both your colleagues and yourself needs to know that 24/7 is not the way to go.

If it is so, your company is either underemploying your IT assets, or simply undervaluing the importance of IT. Time to get more ppl to fill in the blanks.

Besides, no company will really be bothered if your family dies, they will move on. But if your family has a serious stuff, and u r not there, it will stay w u forever as a guilt.
