On my Gateway computer running windows 7, I cannot get Java to load it comes up with the following error message ” This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.” I have tried loading Java on my other computer running windows 7 and I don’t encounter any problems. Does anyone have a solution to this problem. I have searched the web, and evidently I am not the only one encountering this installation error, but some of experiencing the problem with different programs.
