Java Error

By black2bak ·
I'm attempting to access a Bank's Trading Demo site & at the final hurdle encounter this error message :
Initialization Failed
netscape.javascript.JSException: null

I'm running XP/SP2, have pop ups allowed....current Java version: 1.4.2_06 (buildb03)....any thoughts? or possible cross checks I can perform?....this glitch even has the site techie guy's scratching their heads!!

I have a stupid question for you, that I am sure the site techies also asked you, but do you have java and javascript enabled in your browser. Judging from this error you will need both, as it seems to be an applet attempting to access/execute javascript.

indeed it was a problem with Java access, which they eventually solved - I am running IE6.

all the normal/obvious checks were intiated prior to them resolving the working fine (fingers crossed).

Thank you both for your answers & advice - much appreciated!
