I am not a programmer but I have been assigned the job of verifying the functionality of a web page for my company.
The annoying problem is a Java applet that will not run on Netscape 4.76 on W98.
When attempting to run I get the error message:
“Applet {applet name} can’t init: NEW”
When I run the same applet from IE 5.5 on W98, on the same PC, the applet works correctly.
Why won’t it work for Netscape?
