I have just upgraded my PC from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. Since upgrading I cannot access my internet banking. When I attempt to login on it tells me that I require Java Virtual Machine and asks if I would like to download it now, which I accept. Then I am directed to a Microsoft website that advises that Microsoft Virtual Machine is no longer available to download automatically.
I have tried to search other internet sites (including this one) for this download and have found many things that could be what I require, unfortunately I have no idea what Java Virtual Machine is or what it does, so I do not know what exactly I need to download and I am afraid I will download the wrong thing. I never had this problem with Windows 2000.
Note:I am not IT orientated at all and do not even know how many points this question should be valued at.
