Javascript Showdown: Speeds of Opera 9, IE6, and Firefox 1.5

How fast is your favorite browser's Javascript engine? After creating a Javascript benchmark tool and testing Opera 9.0, MSIE 6.0, and Firefox 1.5, you might be surprised to see which one came out on top...way on top.

dead slow, since javascript doesn't run on ANY browser I use.

it's a severe security risk and will not be enabled without huge amounts of cash being deposited into my account for the javascript author's stupidity.

don't use it at all.
Save your self, time effort and trouble of installing another browser and brushing off a dusty copy of IE.

Actually I find the firefox figures comforting, considering the the number of security threats propagated by this cheap *** foolishness. May be it's checking things out instead of just running it and crossing it's pointers.
