join servers to a domain in a secure network

By ryno ·
Hi everyone,

I have this problem.

We have a few servers in a data center and i want to join the other servers to the main Domain Server.

Server is running Windows Server 2003 SBS and the client machines are running Windows XP

The only problem is, none of the servers can see each other if you type in the computer name.

Can someone please give me advise on how to join the servers to my main domain

I'm a bit confused here

The Server has 2003SBS and the clients are loaded with XP.

So what is on the other servers that you are trying to connect?

Also depending on which version of SBS you have it may not allow more Servers with the same OS to be added to the Domain. This is how SBS which stands for Small Business Server works.

Thanks alot for the reply, but the DC i am talking about is the Datacentre,

Let me explain my issue again.

We have 1 Windows Server SBS 2003 Standard edition server, where all the usernames and passwords are stored of all our clients.

Then we have 5 Windows XP machines that our clients log onto.

I am having problems joining the XP Machines to the Domain on the Windows Server SBS machine, so that I do not have to create all the users on the XP machines.

Does this make more sense now?
