Joining a PC in a domain

By gregori65 ·
I am trying to rebuild an Active directory adding users and computers accounts. In order for a PC to join a domain, can I just create its account in the active direstory (adding new computer)?. It seems that the only way to join the domain is by using the network wizard on the local PC.
Thank you...

Yes - however it does require that a gc be available and that dns is configured correctly. This way the computer can associate itself with the correct computer account. If you can not add the computer account any other way then their might be a configuration error with dns.

Good Luck!
