    Joining an Exchange site

Can I join an Exchange site that exists in a different NT domain? If so, what are the requirements? Can someone point me to a white paper or some other documentation that I can refer to for the technical requirements of this? Thanks!

Exchange has some very good documentation on using site connectors. In the exchange administrator click on help then books online. Click on the index tab and key site in the blank. There are lots of how-to’s there. One major consideration in using site connectors and joining existing exchange postoffices is that the top level has to match on both exchange servers.

The issue isn’t site connectors. Sorry. I’m joining a site, not connecting to it.

Do you mean installing new Exchange server into same site but the two Exchanges should be members of different domains?

It does not relate to Site Connectors, sorry.

The answer is Yes, you can.
The only requirements are 1)trust between the domains and 2) enough bandwidth between the servers for intra-site replication.

      Cheers,
