Greetings to the IRC community..

Want to welcome you all to a new irc network which has come flourish in the past few weeks. The URnet IRC Network. We have been working long and hard to produce an irc network which is planning to be around for years to come and evantually become one of the major competitors amongst irc networks. URnet is bound by the clients we host and aim at nothing more than total satisfaction to those clients.

URnet is devoted to the irc community of Gamers, Developers, and individuals looking for a home to host many of their online activities of choice. We do not limit the choice of channels on our network. However we have strict policies on abusive clients eg: Bottlers, Denial of Services trojans, Spam , and virus sending trojans. We perform ON CONNECT detection for these clients.

More information can be found on our website http://www.urnet.org (still being developed)

We welcome any network merges from networks wishing to become part of this new and exciting network. We run a stock version of ircd-hybrid [1] with many modifications to allow our services package hybserv2 [2]. However we do not accept shared shell ircds. We gladly welcome Virtual Private Servers, or Dedicated/Colocated servers. We guarantee an exciting, friendly, and professional atmosphere for everyone. So come join us we will make all transitions as smooth as humane possible.

We are also looking for any developers wishing help in the modifications of our ircd we will keep hybrid as stock as possible with slight modifications and improvements to help facilitate users, and admins.

What more to say? come join us in #urnet. Or if you require any support with our services join #support and ask.

Our DNS Round-robins are:

irc://irc.urnet.org - Random server (irc.urnet.org)
irc://us.urnet.org - US Servers (us.urnet.org)
irc://eu.urnet.org - European Servers (eu.urnet.org)

Or simply click here to join directly: irc://irc.urnet.org/support you will need an irc client that supports irc:// links (most do now)

[1] http://ircd-hybrid.org
[2] http://hybserv.net
------------------------------------------------------
pi - urnet admin
admin@urnet.org
http://www.urnet.org
"It's your net, use it your way!"
