I have a clients pc that had the js.seeker virus. I scanned with Norton 2003 and it found the js.seeker infection. It found two infected files named A0028377.reg & A0028378.reg and deleted them. I have deleted them from the pc as well. I have followed the Norton removel instructions to a tee. I have checked the registry for any changes and it appears there are none. The search page is the same as when the client had it. I restored the reg the way Norton said to do it and also did a scanreg /restore from dos when no other method worked. After all this the pc can dial into its ips connection and it shows connected in the status box but it will not go into any web pages. Returns page not found errors. I also deleted the winsock folders because this has worked in the past but not this time.
