Kazaa without MS-CLIENT

By mazzystr2002 ·
Hi,

I love to download MP3 music. I have DSL connection @ office through LAN. Recently my NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR has uninstalled the MS-CLIENT from Server, so now I can?t run Kazaa on my PC (means it does not connects).
Please note I am using Windows XP, while Win 2000 is on the Server.

My question is how can I run Kazaa without MS-CLIENT on my computer?

Thanks
Bilal

Humble & sincerely, the Network Admin has probably disabled the client due the security threat P2P file sharing, more specifically Kazaa, creates on the domain. Honestly, do him a favor and work with him on this one. Everyone will benefit in the long run.

Thanks for the answer, though it helped me morally but not technically. I still want to know is there any possibility, if there then through me.

I concur with Ken. I have cleaned so many computers loaded up with malware and viruses from using Kaza and is it Morpheus (not sure).
I wouldn't recommend it at home either.
Wish I had tiome to download music at work.

Unfortunately, I don't think you're going to like my answer. You shouldn't be downloading mp3's at work through Kazaa... it's illegal. What you do at home is up to you, but don't be doing something like this at work.

No.
Depending on your employer's Policies, you could lose your job for using a P2P. KazAa installs some nasty spyware etc. At HOME, I would use limewire. www.limewire.com. No addware or spyware etc.

Let me explain it as an administrator that has caught employees using Kazaa.

This is not your network. It belongs to the company. It is designed to benefit the company.

Downloading music using Kazaa not only puts the company at risk to all kinds of security issues, it also dominates the lan and slows the traffic that is trying to use the network to do business.

Your lucky that you didn't get fired. But if they catch you trying to get it going again behind their back.

Take the hint and do your job. Download The Pistols at home.

No response is necessary.

I'm off my soapbox now.
