I am having trouble keeping our local profile size in check using NT 4. The profiles are being stored on the PDC. The profile size grows at least 100K a day and gets to the point where it takes 3-5 minutes to log in or out. The one thing I have tried was to change the location where IE5’s Internet cache is being written. It was being written to the users local profile. That has seemed to help a bit, but still the size keeps growing. It seems a lot worse if I log in to multiple computers.
Any suggestions on how to keep the profile a manageable size or what might be causing this size increase?
