Cool a hard one, you can buy a power supply checker at any good computer supply store for around $12 bucks. It dose not have to be plugged in to the main board to use. Do you know the cpu is good and the fan is good? Have the memory checked any compusa or bestbuy will do it for free. Check all cards to besure they are seated good. And do not move around.

Hi
System Instability could be caused by any of these:
1- Power supply problem and power Instability.
2- CPU.
3- Heating check both CPU and power supply fans.
4- motherboard Instability.
5- overclocking or downclocking.
6-Memory and cache problems and conflict.
7-Power up and down
8- Power managment.

pls read this from ka7100 FAQ

1- System Instability
http://www.viahardware.com/faq/kt7/faqinstability.html

" Why does my KT7 freeze every few seconds?
Try the following:
Set "PCI Delay Transitions" to "Disable" under Advanced Chipset in the BIOS
Set "Memory hole at 15-16mb - enabled in BIOS

How do I avoid IRQ conflicts?
"System instabilities can often be caused by PCI and ISA cards sharing interrupt request signals (IRQs) with other devices"

3- power supply
