Search your Windows 9x cab.s (usually on your install cd or disks) and search for your kernel32.dll file. Next, extract it, using an unzip program, and save it to a folder. Restart your computer in DOS and go to the directory where you extracted thefile too. And type this:
copy kernel32.dll c:\windows (then press enter)
press Y to overwrite it.
And type:
copy kernel32.dll c:\windows\system
and once again press y to overwrite the file. Restart your computer and that should talk care of the problem. If any of this is confusing, E-mail me @ mitsu22@home.com
This is a corrupt file that you may be able to fix by going through the Control Panel-Click on Add/Remove Programs-High Light IE5 in the menu,Click on Add/Remove button and you should be presented with a screen to repair IE5,follow the screen instructions. 2)WIN98 has a utility called System File Chedker accessed by clicking Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Information, once opened select System File Checker from the Tools menu.Begin scan by clicking Start.Hope this is helpful
Another way to replace the file is to:go to start/run and type sfc.exe. Now you will replace and specify the kernel32.dll file and replace it from the win98 cd.
This behavior can occur when you resize the Chat window in MSN while MSN is accessing information over the Internet.
To workaround this issue, you can upgrade to MSN version 2.6 and this problem will not occur. This CD-ROM is currently availableto MSN members free of charge.
