Kernel.32 and <unkown.dll> error

By chill ·
One of my fellow techs at work tried to uninstall a novell client from a windows 98 computer at work. Now every time you right click on anything and ask for properties it gets an Kernel32 error or unkown dll error.Tried a re install over windows didn't work.Is there any way to fix this without totally having to delete windows or formating.Customer has very important files on computer and cant loose his lotus notes program because he lost disk. Also tcp/ip ans networking dont work anymore either.

There seems to be some files that were associated with other programs that got deleted, you will need to reinstall the associated program and dll files to stop this from happening,or back up the hard drive and then use the setup disk and when prompted do a repair install, because there is a chance of losing some data it is strongly suggested that you back up your critical programs and files in case.

You may be able to remedy the situation with Soulriders ideas and I would definitely try those. However, in my experience, Kernel32 errors are only truely resolved by a fresh install
