Keyboard and Mouse not been detected

by punitmanoj . Updated 19 years ago

Can anyone help me………Pleassssssssssss.

“I APPOLOGIES FOR MY BAD ENGLISH”

I have Windows XP previously my computer was working properly untill yestarday I confronted with a very wierd problem.

Both my KEYBOARD and MOUSE is not responding.
I will give you all the details of the problem

1. when booting/rebooting system my keyboard is detected and I can press ‘ESC’ to escape MEM TEST and or I can even pres ‘DEL’ to enter BIOS SETUP all navigational KEY’S are working properly in BIOS SETUP.

2. HERE IS THE PROBLE -> when virus test is done immediately after the first screen, i.e just before windows starts loading (When the PROGRESS BAR “Blue Color” is visible with Windows Xp logo) My keyboard stops responding to keys like NUMLOCK, CAPSLOCK, AND SCROLL LOCK

3. After window is fully loaded I can see my DESKTOP, all shortcuts and even antivirus being loaded but there is NO KEYBOARD respoinding nor MOUSE.

4. I am having PS/2 mouse PLUGGED IN THE “RIGHT Place”.

5. I even tried to boot-in safe-mode and the ammazing thing is that in which ever mode I boot either it’s DEBUGGING, SAFE-MODE, LAST SUCESSFUL CONFIGURE MODE, NORMAL MODE etc…. I can only see my nice DESKTOP but there is no KEYBOARD or MOUSE respoinding to any of my fingires.

6. I suspect either there is a driver problem or VIRUS.

I am very thankfull to all those who atleast read my message and I will be more thankful to those who will reply to my message.

awaiting reply soooooooooooonnnnnnnnnn.
