keyboard assembly

i took apart my keyboard to clean it- now i do not remember how to reassemble the parts, specifically the space bar assembly. please help!

There are so many different ways that keyboards are assembled that it is difficult to give you a simple answer.

If the space bar has a metal bail, look at the frame of the keyboard to see where the bail needs to slide into when the space-bar is pressed.

You may have a metal bail on some of the other keys. Usually, all bails work the same way.

Some space bars and other large keys (Shift, TAB) have a small metal bar with little hooks on it. They are a little hard to re-attach. You'll have to click the wires onto the board first. Then line up the pegs on the key with the holes in the keyboard. As long as everything stays line up, you should be able to just press down on the key at that point.

I use an eyeglass screw driver to set the wires.

This is probably not what you want to hear, but if time is money, go and by a new keyboard. By the time you dissaaemble and reassemble the keyboard you are better off getting a new one.
