Keyboard not working / Mouse OK … need to press crtl-alt-del to be ok

by esther . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

Hi There,

I have Windows XP SP2 a wired keyboard (non usb) and a wireless mouse (usb).

I just recently had a trajan-downloader with all its friends … after using verious tools my system seams to be ok now.

However, randomly my keyboard stops working and I am slo not able to click anything on teh screen (nothing happens) until I press ctrl-alt-del and then the keyboard buffer seams to “flusH’ / execute my last few keystrocks and also executes the last few clicks of the mouse (e.g. closing a windows etc.) before the system is normal again.

I have spyware-doctor / security task manager / Nortin IS / all latest versions and updates …

any ideas / suggestions what else to try … or can it be that I still have a bug and just can’t find it?

Thanks for any help.
