keyboard numpad not work after install Windows 7 32-bit

by jubatrak . Updated 16 years, 2 months ago

Hi,

My Laptop is a Asus model M51S and it came with Windows Vista 32-bit

– the keyboard numpad dont work (all the buttons) after a successful clean installation of Windows 7 32-bit

– the numpad (all the buttons) works each time turn on the machine and i can Log in my Administrator Password – after this point the numpad is off.

– although in device manager it’s written “This device is working properly.

I try to resolve install drivers and utilities:
– I know Windows 7 contains the necessary drivers in itself, i use Windows Update to get the latest Win7 drivers;
– try to install all the drivers and utilities from the Driver and Utility DVD that came with the notebook for Vista 32-bit
– look for drivers on the ASUS site,
I then experimented with installing ATK Hotkey and other ATK related software/drivers.
Keyboard Device Filter Utility (in others)
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=N61Vn
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=K50IN
– I called Asus and they say they have not made the drivers yet for my model

Is this a driver related problem?
If so, what kind of driver do i have to install to make the numpad work, and where can i get it?
Just wondering if there’s any fix for this, Thanks to anyone that can help me w/ this problem!!

Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.
