keyboard problems

belive it or not but i am using the on-screen keyboard to write this question…. my keyboard stopped working after i let sis on…. the lights on the keyboard either flas or stay solid but am not able to get a sign… i go to Control Panel/keyboard and go to properties but find it blank…. dunno if there is suppose to be a driver there or not…. so before i have to buy a new keyboard, anyone know if this is fixable or is the keyboard dead…… finally done…
