We have been experiencing an unusual issue with many (25%?) of our Dell Latitude L400 notebooks. Our configuration is 256Mb RAM, 10Gb HDD, Win2K, Office 2K, NAV CE, Timbuktu and PAL/Nortel (remote access/VPN clients), and we have been experiencing (apparently) ramdom bluescreens with a “KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED” error generated. We have been unsuccessful in determining exactly whate is generating the error. We have eliminated the old HP340 printer drivers (incompatable per HP) and updatedthe ATI video drivers, as there is a known conflict with SMS and the ATI drivers (SMS client is not installed on these machines). Some of the L400’s in question are running SP1, some have been upgraded to SP2, which has made no difference in the behavior of these machines. Any help or suggestions? please…..
