Well, ive almost come to love linux after installing kubuntu.
im using it right now on my gateway m210 laptop. it runs
perfectly! it installed fine, runs fine, performance is great,
only one problem. im not getting any sound. with my limited
experience with the KDE interface i wasnt able to figure this
one out. i went into the sound settings and it seems to
recognize my audio card.after some research i found out this
laptop has an Integrated ADI 1981B sound card. im not sure
exactly what to do. im using the latest version of Kubuntu
(7.04 Feisty). i have another tiny problem not related. theres
a program called kde wallet and i disabled it not realizing it
was a password security app and now i cant get it to execute
at startup. any help on any of these would be much
appreciated. i really love linux so id like to figure this
out. i dont blame linux at all because it took me forever to
get all the drivers for windows. linux is just missing the
sound. DVD’s wont play either but after research found that its a bug with the new release. i may go back to the release before feisty. will this solve my problems?
