A co-worker’s Lacie Drive stopped appearing on his My Computer the other day for some reason. He’s got a Dell Precision on XP 32bit.
Already tried removing the USB cables, power supply, and re-attaching them again, still…nothing.
So I decided to log him out of the domain and log into my own account on his computer. When I logged his account off and got into mine, the Lacie Drive appeared and was searchable, so obviously the drive is working at least when I log in.
So I logged back into into his account on the domain and it still doesn’t show at all, which makes me wonder if something is wrong with his hardware profile.
Does anyone have any tips on how to correct this?
I’m thinking it’s a driver issue and I’d like more time to test my theories out at his workstation, but he seems to be very pre-occupied and I’m looking for other possible solutions before I try and get this resolved.
Any help would be much appreciated!
