LAN clients activity

which software (MS or third party) could we use to
monitor how much LAN clients used internet ?
I want to install accouting software for that.(NTtak+)

There are quite a few packages to track users internet usage. Most however require that you use them as either a proxy, or in conjunction with your firewall. Microsoft ISA server is a good example of a proxy based solution. It allows you to track user behavior and internet utilization. Websense is another product that is EXCELLENT. It works with many products, but best in conjunction with Cisco PIX firewalls.

These are just 2 of the hundreds of products out there. It is up to you to choose which product is appropriate for your Network/Corporate situation.

There is also a product from Network Intelligence called Envision. It comes withe extensive reporting utilities and supports a variety of network devices.

I highly recommend it.
