Hi ,I’ve been having a problem with a dell latitude D600 that I recently had to reinstall windows XP pro on.I don’t have the drivers cd for the laptop so I went directly to dell’s site and got them.The problem is that the cdrom drive does not work for whatever reason.I can see the icon in “My Computer” but it says to insert a disc when i try to open it up .I also noticed that it pops up on the bottom right hand corner of my screen when i slide the drive in as though it were a usb device…..How odd.I used the driver or i should say i used quite a few drivers on dell’s site for the cd/dvd rom with no luck. Any ideas?
