So I’m sitting outside on the laptop, phone rings, but after a few minutes the cordless battery dies, so into the house I go, laptop sitting on the table outside.
In the mean time a T-storm comes and rains all over the laptop, ops!!!! So at first NADA, so I shut it down, drained the water, left it on edge, then the next day put a blow dryer on low and tried drying it out.
Now I have a rather normal 1/3 of the screen showing. The rest is various shades of white (gray, etc.). An external display works fine so I’m feeling like it’s not the MB (on board video). However there is a very small daughter board which the back light and display cable plug into which I guess could have been fried.
Anyway if one or more of you techies could offer an opinion I’d really appreciate it.
