Laptop Display Screen Problems
I'm recently having an issue with the backlight of my laptop display. When my computer goes to sleep, the screen would not completely turn on again, and it would remain dim. Strange thing is that MOST of the time (not always) switching to the user log on screen turns the backlight back on, but relogging back into my Windows Vista account will turn it back off again.
Usually I am able to fix this by restarting by hibernating, and with slightly less success by restarting by turning my computer off completely.
Either way, this is really frustrating and my question is: Is this a hardware issue, software /BIOS issue, or both? I would like to believe that I wouldn't need to replace any (expensive) parts since it seems like my computer still has the capability of working correctly, it never flickers so there shouldn't be any loose or semi-broken down corroded parts?
Thank you!
